Numaru’s first K-Day: a fun day with Korean culture and food!
Our first K-Day was such a special experience! We welcomed 16 students from the same school but different classes, all part of a club dedicated to Korean Culture. Along with their teacher, they visited Numaru to learn more and try something new.

Presentation about South Korea
We kicked things off with a casual talk about Korean food, hanbok (traditional clothing), and hanok (traditional houses). We shared what makes Korean cuisine so unique, the story behind hanbok, and why hanok is an important part of Korean heritage. The students listened with curiosity, eager to dive deeper into Korean culture.
Try Korean food
Following the talk, they had the opportunity to taste authentic Korean dishes. They got to try bibimbap, tteokbokki, and kimchi – flavors that were new to some of them.
Try hanbok
Next up was the hanbok experience. The students tried on these beautiful traditional outfits, admiring the vibrant colors and elegant designs. They couldn’t stop taking photos and had so much fun seeing each other dressed up.
Play traditional Korean games
We then moved on to traditional Korean games. In Korea, games are more than just entertainment – they help bring people together. The students laughed, cheered, and fully immersed themselves in the fun.
